Pretty simple really – a scented one, at that. You’ve gotta nip this thing in the bud, wash him right out of your hair, etc etc. Make sure your girl looks after herself, she’s going through some stuff, and may not feel like herself so some self-care wouldn’t go amiss.
Fire up that Spotify, you’re going dancing tonight – no, not in da club (unless you’re up for it!), but in the sanctity of your bedroom! Turn on and turn up as much ‘girl power’ music as you possibly can, and have a dance party. We’re talking Cardi B, Drake, SZA, Dua Lipa…anything with a ‘break-up = bad’ angle.
Take a note out of Drake’s philosophy book and this ‘Saturday, call the girls, get ’em gassed up’. Sure, time alone is SUPER important but so is remembering who’s here for you 👯
Make list for your number one about why she’s so amazing, or just write one for yourself, and even the most cynical will start to believe that they actually will be okay after a bad break-up. Include the tiniest of things that you might not have thought about, like ‘I love that know all the words to Starships’, or ‘I called my Nan yesterday’. Find your light ✨
Listen. Talk. Be patient. It might be trying for you at first hearing your mate go on about someone who never deserved her to begin with (ain’t that the truth), but a good ear is all anyone ever needs.
